About Norm Cauchie

In 1984 Norm, Dorothy and family moved to the Cowichan Valley after 5 years in the Comox Valley. In 1990 after 5 successful years operating their General Motors dealership they decided to sell it.
Norm obtained his Real Estate Sub-Mortgage Brokers license a few months later. For the next 12 years Norm worked in the Real Estate Industry and during that time was a member of the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board (VIREB).  Norm was a Director of the VIREB for 5 years and during that time served as Vice President, President and Past President of the board.  He also served as a Director of the British Columbia Real Estate Association for one and a half terms then elected to move to the mortgage side of the industry from Real Estate, where he is today.

Norm has been an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Duncan since 1984. He served two terms each as Vice President, President and Past President. Currently he is involved as a Director of both the Kiwanis Club and the Kiwanis Village Society, a seniors’ complex operated by the Kiwanis Club of Duncan.

Norm has a well rounded background in working with people as owner/operator of a number of successful businesses. From a furniture store in Port Hardy, Marine business in Powell River to Automotive Dealership in Duncan, Norm has experienced pretty well all of Vancouver Island.
